We Want YOU for the Villa Park Winter Festival!!!

Last year, some of our founding members hosted the first ever Villa Park Winter Festival. This was a fantastic event where we met new neighbors, listened to great live jazz music, and sipped on hot drinks prepared by our neighbor (despite the unseasonably warm weather). We also invited neighbors to come and sell their homemade crafts. There was pottery, handcrafted wooden spoons, and even original art from a local 9-year-old! All told, it was a big success and an enriching day.
That’s why we’re doing it again, and this year promises to be bigger and better! (Click here for event details) We hope to have more local musicians playing their music, more local artists vending their wares, and more food and drink to provide sustenance during the festival. For that, we need YOU! That’s right, YOU! You are what makes Villa Park such a great place to live, and we’d love for you to come and make this festival everything it can be.
What does that mean in practice? Well, it could mean a lot of things, but here are some ways you can get involved:
- If you play music and are interested in performing, we’d love to include you
- If you make a craft that you’d like to sell, we can get you a space (it doesn’t have to be professional, we’re all just neighbors doing our best!)
- If you want to help plan the festival, we need your help!
- If you just want to show up and enjoy, that is as critical as everything else
